Hotel Dory FAQ
Everything you need to know about our flagship cycling camp at Hotel Dory in Riccione, on Italy's Adriatic coast. Still have questions? Get in touch.
Where is Hotel Dory?
Hotel Dory is in Riccione, on the Adriatic coast of Emilia-Romagna — with quiet roads and climbs in the surrounding hills, and flat coastal roads along the Adriatic in the other direction.
What is a “cycling hotel”?
It's a hotel built around riders. That means secure locked bike storage, an on-site workshop and wash area, early breakfasts, laundry for your kit, bike rental, and staff who genuinely understand what cyclists need.
What's the riding like?
Each day our guides lead routes for five levels of ability — gentle coastal spins through to challenging days in the hills. There's a ride for every level, with a support vehicle and mechanical help on hand.
Can I rent a bike there?
Yes. Quality road bikes are available to rent and are fitted to you. Bring your own shoes and pedals if you like; you're also welcome to bring your own bike.
What about food?
Emilia-Romagna is the gastronomic heart of Italy. Expect fresh handmade pasta, local produce, regional wines, and fantastic Adriatic seafood — meals are a highlight of every day.
How do I get there?
We recommend flying into Bologna Airport (BLQ), about 90 minutes from the hotel; you can also arrive by train to Riccione. We'll help you with transfer options and timing once you book.
How many rest or off-bike days are there?
Afternoons are generally your own, and there's plenty to explore in Riccione and along the coast. We can suggest excursions, or you can simply relax by the pool and recover for the next ride.
